Unsuccessful/Incomplete System Restore

Have you ever performed "system restore" and got a message that it is incomplete or not successful? Most probably you have a Norton/Symantec antivirus installed on your computer. Later versions of these products have been set to prevent system restore on changing its settings. Symantec antiviruses not only protect our computer but their products as well. Most of them were set to download and install automatic updates to get the latest virus definitions on the web. If you’re going to do "system Restore" it might uninstall/undo the Norton updates on your computer. So to prevent it from happening, they have restricted themselves by putting protection on Symantec products such as Norton. If you got the message "restoration incomplete" and you have a Symantec product installed on your computer, try to disable "turn off protection for Norton/Symantec products" then you’re good to go. Be sure to turn it on again once you have performed system restore to make sure that you’re still protected all the time
