Default Filling Forms in Windows

Forms are filled in at various stages in various sites.
Generally the information requested are the 1st name,
last name, user name, email address and so on.
In the attempt to fill in a cage or box, when the first
key is typed the full information fr that particular cage
or box comes on in bolded characters and when clicked
fills the cage or box.
The poped up suggestion comes on with correct version
of the information and the erroneous ones as well.
In case the user has made a mistake earlier, that too
is faithfully presented.
Is there a way to delete the wrongful ones or delete
them altogether once and for all ?
In some sites they are not accepted and thereby cause
confusion and not helpful at all.
All in all they are annoying than being helpful.
thanks,
ben

Thank you. Noted what to do and shall tell you result after trying it out.

That andy rathbone's site does not respond to any clicks. That manual that should have come with pc, could be wonderful.
I have the 1001 tips of Reader's Digest . . . a heavy, arty, glossy, book that has more tips that are out of sync than useful.
An 'online' manual that is updated regularly with index references to get at needy information would be useful today and in future. A print book cannot keep pace with computer advancements.
If you have an idea of going in for an 'online' book, I shall gladly contribute my time gratis.
thanks,
ben

Thank you wombat, thank you, SnM has given a detailed tip below.
Nice to meet knowledgeable and helpful people like both of you.

Makes me think up Qns . . . just for the pleasure of asking and having them answered.

But all my Qns here, so far, have been of practical puzzles.

thanks, ben
