Auto Log-on

Have you already downloaded the Windows Updates? And have you noticed that after the updates, your Windows XP does not automatically logs into your account? This is caused by the incorporation of the Microsoft .NET Framework because when its installation creates a new user ASP.NET which is visible in the Control Panel. But you do not need to remove this. You can reconfigure your Windows XP to automatically logon again.

To do this, click Start and then click Run. Type in 'control userpasswords2' and click 'OK'. You will see a list of user accounts. Select those user accounts you'd want to logon automatically by clicking the corresponding checkboxes. Then uncheck the 'Enter must enter a user name and a password to use this computer' option and click 'OK'. Lastly, type in user account password to complete the process.
