Error Vista Link(Fitefox)

I installed Firefox3 on my computer. It installed a link on my desktop that technically doesn't exist. The image of the shortcut is there but when i click it it does nothing. So i tried to delete it and the computer and it cant find the link. I tried to delete it through command prompt and it doesnt even know theres a file there. So how do you delete a "non-existent" file.

MoveOnBoot will get rid of it... Download MoveOnBoot 1.95 - Allows you to copy, moves or delete files on the next system boot - Softpedia
