trouble Vista internet troubles!


hi everyone, DESPERATE for help, recently bought a computer with vista on, no problems there, had a mcafee antivirus which i got rid of and installed norton, since that though i cant get onto the internet, altough msn can connect and norton can also update itself

when i first log on, system32/cmd.exe comes up with error, if thats relevant at all....

any ideas??

navigate to internet options and on the security tab use the reset all to default levels button.
If there is no reset button then you need to highlight each icon and then select default setting and apply...then ok out and see if you can get on the net then.

Also check firewall settings.
Windows firewall settings.
If you installed Norton firewall/internet security, check settings.
Also if McAfee was a McAfee internet security package it also has a firewall. Maybe you only uninstalled part of McAfee.
