Default Speed Up My Browser and PC

I took up the advise of going into Registry and deleting an entry to make my browser NOT to touch on scheduled tasks but to load on quickly.

I went in regitry and found the: HKEY_L0CAL_MACHINE/Sftware/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/Name

But could not find the key: {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}
to delete it.

Any further advise would be gratefully welcomed.

Thank you,
ben

I don't know about the registry, but what you can do is go into msconfig and disable all the programs that load that you don't need. The increase your virtual ram and you should be better.

Is posting here OK? Hope so. I wasn't allowed to 'Post' just beneath Kilmako's entry when i logged in.

Thank you Kilmako, for your kind advise. When I went in 'msconfig' through 'Run' under 'Services' i found a long list of items that were 'Running' and others 'Stopped'. The tricky part is to decide what are NOT required by me. Somewere in my readings I was warned not to delete anything unless I am sure of it. So i left them as they were.
I am grateful to you for your considered advices,
ben

Services are ok thats what helps you windows run. Under Startup Tab uncheck the ones you dont want.
