Default Special Permissions on Vista Ultimate

Hello, I'm using Vista Ultimate and I can't set special permissions for my user account. The box that I need to check to allow special permissions isn't accessible. It's there but I can't do anything with it!

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Martin:

Hello greg, it's ok I managed to find my way around, I'm using one of the early beta versions of Vista Ultimate that is no longer supported.

Thanks anyway

Regards

Martin

hi ertm new here found this thread from google i have this problem too (using vista basic 64bit) i have a program set to run on startup that keeps asking for permision (i want it to run it allows me to use a joy pad in place of a mouse.) so i tryde ticking the "special permisions box and it wont let me i am the only user and have the only account (as admin) and it is set to "Full control" any idea why i still cant tick that box? (should i try putting all the program files in the system folder or something?)

Smegskull,

I did a little reseach and found this blog that may help you bypass this issue everytime you start your machine to allow that devices application to run as administrator.

Run UAC restricted programs without the UAC prompt | Microsoft Windows | TechRepublic.com

Let us know if this helps.
