Hi smartguy,

Thanks for the compliments about the site, I am glad you like it.

I don't think the problem is with your Firefox.

Many people are facing problems with downloading or installing IE7 due to many reasons (improper updates, firewall settings, antivirus and antispyware settings etc..)

Check out this post about IE7 (http://www.syschat.com/downloading-i...-7-a-2015.html)

Hello smartguy, go to the following link and go to the heading 'Installation Errors', find your logs and attach them to your next message for me.

Release Notes for Internet Explorer 7

Yes it's right that you may well have a problem downloading updates whilst using 'FF' from the Microsoft website, so just use your IE and try the installation. Then send me the logs mentioned above and I'll see if I can help.

Regards

Martin

No problem, but before you go. A lot of people have had the same problem and have solved it by disabling their anti-virus/spyware and then re-booting their PC in 'safe mode with networking' by pressing F8 during boot time which allows you to connect to the internet, and then run the IE7 installation again.

When the installation is complete reboot the PC, turn your anti-virus/spyware back on and run a scan.

Good Luck!

Martin
