Default HP AIO problem

hi all,
recently i purchased an HP AIO (deskjet printer & scanner).installation went on well on my system with Win7(32 bit) but the scanner is not accessible on my other system with vista(32 bit) altho the printer is working, googling for an answre and searching in various forums has not been useful. when i try to reinstall i get the error message that an appropriate entry in the INF file is missing.

Hello vsramkumar? I'll ask the obvious question first. Have you checked the system requirements for the printer? Does it support Vista?
Have you checked the HP support site for the relevant drivers?

HP have a good site with support and drivers. If you need any other software for working with vista you should be able to find them there.

Can you post the make and model number of the printer?

Martin

I've had a quick look around and it seems that it might have something to do with the usb driver file.

Try this:
