Just for an instance suppose that you are working on a PowerPoint presentation and the file gets corrupted. It can get corrupted when your operating system gets crashed suddenly or by any other problems like power failure. Now how would you recover that corrupted PowerPoint Presentation files?

You need not require any separate software to acquire your corrupted PPT files. Whenever your PPT file gets corrupted, Windows saves a duplicate copy of that particular PPT file in the TEMP folder as its temporary version. Below are the steps to get back your PPT file:

  1. Click on the Start button then choose the Search option by clicking on it in order to start the search process.
  2. In the "All or part of the file name" field, type *.TMP and filter the searching options by choosing the "Local Hard Drives" option in "Look in" box.
  3. Now continue the search process by clicking on the Search button and wait while it displays the results to you.
  4. Now, you can easily locate your PPT file from the list of temporary files which are displayed.
  5. Now open the PowerPoint and try to open these temp files or double click on that file to run in PowerPoint.
