trouble how do i burn them to dvd


i havedownloaded softwar from the site and it is for diskett but i want to burn them to dvd as i have no floppy drive ive tryed everything extracting and runnin but nothing works any ideas

You will need to be a bit more specific as to what software you are talking about and also as to what operating system you are refering to.

Most downloads are self extracting/installing and don't require anything more than to be downloaded to the computer and double clicked to be/start the installation proccess!

trouble hi


i downloaded windows xp from, this site is 6 disketts long but i cant make an iso from it because it keeps trying to run in dos to diskett

You cannot burn the six (6) images to anything else but floppy disks.

Win 2000, Win XP, Win Vista cd's / dvd's are all bootable, so you do not need those floppy disks. Your just wasting your time and effort...

What you have downloaded is not XP operating system. It is the 6 floppy diskettes for booting (starting) xp operating system.

As wombat said....all windows operating system installation discs since windows 95 have been self booting so if you have the installation disc you do not need the boot diskettes.

Now if you have a restore issue and need to boot XP then go back to the place you got the 6 boot disks and look for the ISO to burn the info to CD. It should be listed there as well.
