Default hard drive help


i cloned my 4.0 gb hard drive to my new 40 gb and then i removed my 4.0 gb hard drive so when is started my comp it says that i have 4.0gb and a second hard drive to format. they are on the same hard drive how do i combind them.

Hiya krazymarvin,presuming you are using the same OS [windows] and you still have all your info on the 4 gig drive you should reformat the 40 gig and install windows,put both drives back in your computer on a single cable,set the 4 gig to master and the 40 gig to slave and use windows built-in files and settings transfer to transfer everything to the 40 gig,put the 40 back on a single cable and reset the jumper to master,boot up, go to files and settings transfer and follow instructions and all your original info will be installed on the new drive. hope this helps ragzeeboy
