Default Firefox randomly stops responding?

Ok, i've been dealing with this problem for a while.

Randomly just browsing the net my firefox will just stop responding, pretty much instantly vista pops up with the "firefox stopped responding close program bla bla" this is getting very annoying.

Please help, i've searched and no one has found the fix to this problem.

Are you using Firefox 2 or 3? If 2, have you updated to the latest version, 2.0.0.14?

Use the default theme and disable your addons, re-enable them one at a time, restarting Firefox after each one, to see if one of them is causing the crashes.

Are you still talking to yourself, this is getting confusing. You ask a question then reply and answer it with a probable fix...
