Why is it I can have a valid movie cd in a drive and an error message tell's me that the drive is empty and to insert a cd ? this has happened on several pc's I've had...But the drive take's other cd's.

What kind of "movie cd" is it? Is it a DVD? If it is, does your DVD player play it?

Or is it a VCD? Or perhaps, something that you burned like an AVI file using a CD/DVD burner?
