Default How to remove xp from vista


I have Vista installed first on C; and Xp in D; and went through the usual problem then I read your thread about removing Xp from Vista and I followed it,restarted the the system and boot with vista then repair and put the codes mentioned but I'm still not able to format my D;Now vita runs fine but I'm unable to format D; where Xp is.Can you Help me out please!

How are you going about trying to format "D"??? What error messages are you getting!

It just says windows can't format D:,I tried to do it by going in Device manager but te format option cannot be clicked.

Windows is protecting itself.... in vista...go into safe mode and navigate to the disc manger and retry to format the partition.

If that fails then you can reuse the XP installation cd to format the partiton or you can try a third party program like partition magic to do it for you!
