Sometimes when we are working on some important thing then suddenly we see a prompt which asks to restart your computer saying that you have just installed an update and restart the computer. It can be very irritated few times.

In order to disable prompt manually follow the below steps:

Step 1: Go to start menu.
Step 2: Click on Run Prompt and type regedit and press enter.
Step 3: Go to the below given path

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate\AU

Step 4: Select NoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers registry key.
Step 5: Change its value to 1 inorder to disable windows reboot after windows updates are installed.
Step 6: Click ok and close the registry

There is an another automatic method using which also you can disable the restart prompt, to do so you need to install the freeware called Auto Reboot Remover. All you need to do is to download the freeware and run the exe file which will come up with two options i.e. either enable and disable the auto boot.

Download Auto Reboot Remover
