How to enable and disable the auto play feature in Windows 7?

When we put in any media device to our computer, if the auto play option is enabled then a window opens up automatically which has options such as play, open etc. The feature of auto play is liked by few and disliked by few. So for them we are here to help them.

The following steps will guide you how to enable or disable this feature. Let us start by knowing how to enable the same:

Step 1: Click on start menu and select control panel.

Step 2: From the control panel menu, select the option Hardware and sound option.

Step 3: Now select the “Autoplay” option from Hardware and Sound.

Step 4: Check the box next to “Use Autoplay” for all media and devices.

Step 5: Click on the Save button.

Step 6: Now close the window.

The following steps will guide you to disable the same option:

Step 1: Click on start menu and select control panel.

Step 2: From the control panel menu, select the option Hardware and sound option.

Step 3: Now select the “Autoplay” option from Hardware and Sound.

Step 4: UnCheck the box next to “Use Autoplay” for all media and devices.

Step 5: Click on the Save button.

Step 6: Now close the window.

Try it and enable or disable as per your wish.
