Default Essential Basics of Windows Vista

For the kind attention of : Lurkswithin

Sir, could you please tell me the bare essentials of Windows Vista for a person that downloads, emails, posts entries in forums, and ... yes the list is too long to say it here.

Or, better, could you tell me the specific method of obtaining information like 'user manual' for Vista.

No one, that I know, has this elaborate Vista. And some weird things are happening...........I have an online chess playing program on which I play a game while waiting for my old Windows XP Tiny to load.
It takes almost 9 to 10 minutes open msn messenger and then load IE 7.
While using Vista there isn't time to play chess, as you know, it loads instantly.
Nevertheless, I decided to play a game ... in the middle game I tried to move a piece and it warned me it as an ILLEGAL move.

Ya, ya, Vista is NOT playing ... but it happened only while USING Vista.

I don't know how a computer works, but then I feel this vista is causing me trouble.

Could it be case of a 'suspicious' mind ! ?

This is the best of the best for windows vista user guide! But then you still have to read between the lines as it was written by the same company that designed it and it no one bad mouths their own products!

Windows Vista User Guide: Screenshots, Preview, Help, Aero, Sidebar, Microsoft, XP, Server, Linux, Mac

Basic computering 101

1) Computers will do only what it is told to do...regardless of what people try to make you believe it can not act on its own...a program or operator must tell it what to do! (other than hardware failure)
2) A computer is only as good as the input that is installed....this is the old adage GI/GO "Garbage In / Garbage Out...you install (put In) garbage applications and programs and all you will get back is garbage performance from your computer
3)Use only programs that are designed for your operating system (see number 2 above)

*********************
Now with that said the chess game program issue. See numbers 2 and 3 above

Every chess game program that I have seen all tell you that you have made an attempt at an illegal move. This is built into the training program of the game itself. It is not part of the operating system of your computer.
