Default Dual boot Vista & Xp

Hi,
I have computer with vista installed in it and i wanna do dual boot between vista and xp home. i followed william's tutorial how i can do but when i m selecting my primary drive for "Shrink partition" its not letting me select any mb or gb coz i alredy been used all the space for that drive. so wizard comes with shrink option disabled.

Any other option to partition and installed xp into preinstalled vista computer ?

If it is a laptop then you will be forced to remove all that bloat from the drive in order to have enough room to create the second partition. Partition magic can support the different sizes but I don't think any will allow the partiton change when there is data all over the partition..

Did your desktop come with vista preinstalled? If so then you can use the recovery program to wipe and reformat the drive or you can use the installation CD to also do it.
If you use the recovery method:
Once the disc has been reformated then vista reinstalled you can use the built in utillity to resize the the drive and partition it according to the program which is a bit less than half in most cases.

If you use the CD installation disc then you can set up the drive to what ever partition sizes you want!

i think it would be easier if u free some space in ur primary disk by backing it up on a cd and then shrinking the partition
