Default XP and DOS partitions

HI

I have a laptop with a 57Gb installed xp partition and a 130mb installed dos7 partition.

They both have a bootsector

What do i need to put in the boot.ini file to be able to boot to the dos partition?

My windows boot.ini entry

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute optin /fastdetect=

otherwise i will have to use boot magic noooooooooo.

What you propose will not work because your operating systems are not in the correct order, In order to use the windows boot manager you have to ALWAYS install the operating systems from the oldest to the newest except in Vista.

My suggestion would be to download GAG and see if it will pick up the two bootable partitions. It should but I don't know as I have never tried it after the second OS was installed in a dual boot configuration. If not, then leave the XP drive alone and delete the Dos install....not the partition....install GAG (free boot manager) then install the DOS system.

I used boot magic installed from the xp partition.

This works and boots into the dos partition, I really did not want to add third party boot managers
