ok heres what going on, my windows media player has the smiley face like from yahoo messenger, but below it , it say windows media player, so when i click on it it wants to install yahoo messenger. hope i explained this right. running win xp.

your media player has a smiley face? is this an icon or the program or what?
Perhaps you downloaded yahoo messanger with the name windows media player?
