trouble Windows 98 startup probs

I wrote my HDD to "0's" using Powermax and now my Floppy won't recognize my windows oem start up floppy. All it will recognize is the Powermax diskette when I put it in. I can get the A: promt up with the 98 disk in but it will not accept any of the commands I have a tried.

If I reboot with the 98 floppy, it gives me the "non system disk error" response....plz help

depending on where your computer is from, your '98' disc may have many things on it, try typing:
dir /w
and see what is listed on it, it may not have DOS on it, it likely just has a command.com file on it to help you install an OS.

It is also possible that one or many of your floppies are damaged I had such a thing happen once... never used a floppy again.

Thanx,

I got it by formatting and then installing a DOS partition. I then reformatted the HD to recoginize mt floppy and OS disk. It all working now except I can not find an ODI communication driver and it doesn't recognize my new (but old)...lol) Network adapter card. I'm gonna try another Network adapter from one of the older towers I have laying around...

Thanks for the help.
