This is because you would want to be able to play the new releases and this is only possible if you choose a good graphics card.

First of all, you should check if your motherboard allows you to change the graphics card. If it does, you should check if it has its own graphics card on board or not. This is because you need to know if you will be able to disable it or not.

The first thing you will need to choose is the manufacturer of the chip set. nVidia and ATI are two of the most important graphics card manufacturers in the world. The memory of the graphics card is important as well. Times change rapidly so today you should get a graphics card of at least 1 GB RAM in order to be able to play the latest releases in the gaming domain.
