I have no sound> When I look in sounds and audio devices it says no sound device. In looking in Aida32, no sound chip is showing in the Biostar motherboard. When I run DirectX diagnostic on sound, it shows no sound card detected. How can I find out what kind of sound card I had, because it worked at one time. I would like to just install a new one and forget the rest. I have XP Pro. Can I get a plug and play sound card and install it. If so how can I find out which ones will work in my computer. try this pcwizard

it will give u the lots of information about ur system hard ware

* its posible
if ur sound is 'on board ' (on the main board)
u could need to turn it on or enable it in the bios

Of course you tried to update your sound cards drivers right?

The OP would have posted back since 08-06-2007 if had anymore problems.

This is the problem when old threads are dug up and answered...

i'll just stay the hell away and give you no more problems.
