This usually occurs if the registry key for the Search Results folder is missing from the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

Follow the steps below to resolve your problem

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.
4. Type {e17d4fc0-5564-11d1-83f2-00a0c90dc849}, and then press ENTER.
5. Click the (Default) value in the right pane.
6. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
7. Type Search Results Folder, and then click OK.

WARNING
: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
