i have a problem with my laptop .each time i shut down i have to finish up the process by using the power botton. what should i do to shut down without using the power button.

Does it tell you what task isn't ending properly? It sounds like it could be a Windows component, as usually any other running application will be forcebly closed when you try to shut down.

If in doubt, open task manager and see if any running applications are not responding or using an unusually high amount of system resources.
