Operating System for Toshiba Portege 3500

Hi,
I am new to this so here goes. I got a portege 3500 with issues with the operating system. This tablet does not have a cd rom drive nor does it have a floppy drive. I am attempting to load windows from another tablet pc to this hard drive by swapping out the portege hard drive to a m275 wish me luck.
