Windows will not allow deleting of an in use operating system

The only way to delete it would be by formating the drive/partition it is on or by slaving it to another computer and using the other computer to delete the operating system!

so now what exactly did you do to delete the operating system?

My ThinkPad 365XD Windows 95 was so currupted that I formatted the drive and wiped out the data including windows. Since the startup does not recognize cdrom driver I bought two external think pad floppy drivers to bootup the system. thanks for replying.

You bought 2 external think pad floppy COLOR="red"]drivers[/COLOR] to boot up the system...????????

What start-up.????

use the DOS boot floppy that you used to wipe and format the drive to make the drive logical and install the CD-Rom OAK technologies driver files so it can be recognised by the CD installation disc
