IF I PLUG IN THE Twisted pair 10Base T.. cable from my laptop to my mini-tower ethernet card ..My laptpop still gives the message ' Network cable not pluged...'

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK I SHOULD DO .....TO NETWORK THE 2..?

you need some sort of "hub" or router. There are usb cables which have them built in, i have found these handy in the past, or a general router/switch to connect them. These ports are not meant to accept input and output data the way that you want them to, the router has specific hardware/software to handle these communications.

Hi,

if you just need to connect 2 pcs you don't actually need a hub. You do need a different kind of cable however. It's called a "cross-over" cable. Any good pc-appliancestore will have them.
