It depends on what your player supports. Look at the manufactures website for info. Usually grouping songs in folders by album is supported, but it can vary greatly. Depends on the player support.

In Nero 7 if you do a drag 'n drop, mp3's will be automatically converted to the correct cd audio format. If you drag the complete mp3 folder they will stay mp3's.

You can put a lot of mp3's on a dvd with out them being converted to audio cd format (different bit rate). Be advised though that external dvd players have a very basic operating system (worse than Win ME and Vista) which stuff up the mp3 title with something like the truncated eight character names in dos.

If you want to watch the tv while your song's are playing, use Nero Vision, and make a slide show with your favourite pix and import the mp3's into it. They will then be rencoded to to the correct dvd audio format (48 bit)...

most dvd boxes for TV hook ups will play both audio cd format and MP3 format as well as DVD conversions. As S&M suggested....look at the manufacturer's website for the model that you have and see what they have to say about the different formats that will play.

One other thing that you must keep in mind ....some players are very particular about the CD/DVD disc manufacturer that will play...so always use a top brand and don't rely on sale brand value pack discs to burn your music to.

I use what is on special around my local computer shop, which is usually Ritec printables $20.00 for 50. I've never had a coaster from them yet, but I've had some crap top brand name cdr / dvd's ending up as coasters...

It happens to the best of us. I have made coasters from both top brand discs and value discs....The top brand discs seem to be less though!
