Default I cannot connect my Laptop in my network


I have my Toshiba Sattelite laptop, with wireless internet I am having hardtime connecting it to the network. the other pc in the LAN sees my laptop but when i started to click its icon it says: "you hav no permissions to access...and/or...the pc doesnt exist." something lyk that.....And into my laptop it doesnt show any pc connected to it at all, as if no one is in the network while I am in the same workgroup..can any body help me for this tnx

It sounds as though it's finding the network but either not having a valid IP assigned or not authenticating correctly.

Is the wireless router using DHCP, and if so is your laptop set to use it? Also, do you have security enabled on the router such as a WEP key? If so, have you added that on your Toshiba laptop's network configuration? If not, then your laptop may appear visible on the network but you will not be able to access anything as you are not "logged on" to the network.

Seems like you are behind a firewall .

Turn the firewall off and it would work just fine .
