If you want to uninstall internet explorer 8 from your computer then its not a simple procedure. When you try to remove or install the Internet explorer 8 then the previous version of it will get installed automatically with all the same settings such as add-ins, favorites etc.
How to know which version of IE you are using?
Step 1: Open Internet explorer
Step 2: Click on the help
Step 3: Go to about Internet explorer. (Version of the Internet explorer will be displayed)
When you come to know about the version of your IE then follow the below steps to uninstall IE from windows 7:
Step 1: Click on start and choose Control Panel.
Step 2: Select uninstall program from the control panel window.
Step 3: Make sure you click on “Turn windows features on or off” on the left side of the control pane.
Step 4: Windows feature box will open up. Uncheck the box next to the Internet explorer.
Step 5: Click on yes if any window pops up with a warning message.
Step 6: Once you click on yes you need to restart the computer to make the changes effect.
Now its all done. Now Internet explorer has been successfully uninstalled from your computer.
