Exponents in Microsoft Excel

You have to do a project in Microsoft Excel that deals with exponents. Unfortunately, your knowledge in Excel only stretches up to the basic operations. So how do you do it? There are a couple of ways to make exponents. For example you need to enter in five raised to the power of eight. You put this into the cell: “=5^9” wherein the first number is the base and the second is the exponent. Another way is to put the formula =Power(5,9) also with the first number as the base and the second number as the exponent.
