you need to be more explicit as to what the error says or what happens to cause the error. generic host can be about anything

So building on the skimpy info you have supplied regarding generic host errors, this led me to Google and then to Microsoft's knowledge base.

Here they have articles called KB's, more often than not followed by a number which is freely available to search by the masses.

So here you go, and enjoy... You receive a "Generic Host Process" error message after you start the computer, or DBCS attachment file names are not displayed in Rich Text e-mail messages
