I had the same problem and decided to search for some softwares to use and delete my duplicate files. Unfortunately, they didn't work and lost many files I wanted to keep, so if you ask me what software to use, I would recommend you to do it by yourself, don't use any. If anyone managed to find any good software for this, please share here.

yes I'm inclined to agree with both Softix and Chr1s. However I intend to make a new start with my catalogue of photos and before this I am burning to disc present albums. But I need to delete duplicates first. This leads to my next question;Digital photographs need to be regularly and easily catalogued if you want to quickly locate them. What is the best system for this. i would like to use some programme as news papers and TV stations do to easily find photos.

Default Microsoft Powertoy SyncToy 2.0

Hello there,

Have you tried the Microsoft Powertoy SyncToy 2.0? I have found this utility simply irreplaceable not only for photos, but for all types of files, music, video, text files, PDFs, etc, you name it and Sync and find it and sync. However, it does far more than just sync.

Regards,
Techbrain55
