Question Dual booting Vista & XP

With Vista installed I've created a partition, formatted it and inserted the XP CD rom into the drive. Booted from the CD and started the XP install process. After copying hte files XP wants to reboot - so far so good. However, XP fails to reboot and continue/complete the install process. I guess its because XP dosn't have the SATA driver ?? Its a Samsung SP2504c hard disk. Suggestions please

James

XP home with SP2. I have installed dual booting on another PC with complete success. I followed the same procedure but when XP rebooted in the middle of the install, as it should, the DOS prompt said Press any key to boot from the CD... then an Error message along the lines no operating system...
