Laptop Convert An Old PC Into A Gaming System

Ever wanted to relive those games you played as a kid. I am here to help you live that dream. This Tutorial will take 2-3 hours I used the following for this:

HP Kayak Workstation PII @ 400 MHZ
Hercules GameSurround Fortissmo II
Standard PS/2 Keybord/Mouse
10 GB Hard drive
Sony 40x CD-R Drive
ATI Radeon 9200 SE PCI
256 MB DIMM RAM
TATUNG 17' Monitor

Software Used:
CD Burner XP
MS-DOS 7.10 Install CD (From Syschat)
5 CD-R Discs

STEP 1:
Download and burn the MS-DOS 7.10 Install Disc from Our Community

STEP 2:
Burn A CD Containing All Your Favorite Games From Yesteryear
A Great Place To Start is Home Of The Underdogs If you are an old consoles fan be sure and check out Zophar's Domain For Win/DOS based Emulators

STEP 3:
Make A CD For Any Drivers For Your Hardware Make Sure They Are Compatible With MS-DOS For Drivers Visit Driver Guide

STEP 4:
Power Down your PC & Insert The MS-DOS 7 Disc

STEP 5:
Install MS-DOS 7 And Any Drivers For Your Hardware

STEP 6:
Install any Programs/Games You Compiled On Your Disc

STEP 7 (Optional):
Run A ScanDisk & Defrag to Ensure Optimal System Performance

You Now Have A Custom made PC Dedicated To Preserving The Classics Of Yesterday.

I did this initially as a project to give me a retrogaming system. So I thought I'd pass this knowledge onto all you wonderful "Geeks" as they call us on TechTV.

Thanks for trying out my tutorial
