My cd rom is connected to the computer but is is not showing in My computer , what has gone wrong

I had the same problem runing my Vista a week back.
If u hv Vista refer to : Your computer does not detect the CD drive or the DVD drive after you remove Digital Image

Try this -- uninstall the cd rom driver and then reinstall the driver it may work.
