Default cant delete file

i have some files that come up in search. when i click on properties they appear to be located in content.ie5. however when i attempt to delete them it says they are no longer located there and so i cant remove them from the search. they are videos and documents. However im sure they are no longer on the system. iv tried accessing content.ie5 folder via safe mode and these 30 or 40 files do not appear there. iv tried ccleaner but i cant remove the files.

how can i delete the files. please help. (vista user)

the folder you are referring to is a temporary directory and the files are regularly deleted based on time or size.
You could use a temporary internet file cleaner to clear these files, or clear them directly through the options in your browser.

Why are you trying to delete these files anyway?

It is showing because the search feature in Vista has indexed the files and has not updated.

best solution: download prog unlocker,Unlocker 1.8.7 - downloads - ZDNet.nl. Prog detects what processes stop you from deleting the file. You can choose to stop the processes, of delete right away.

Good luck!
