Default Anyone here used Alcohol 120%?

I have Alcohol 120% and I use it a bit. I like it the most for saving me from losing a game I bought a long time ago. I had a problem installing this older game of mine, the install crapped out on the 2nd CD due to some error on one of the video files it was copying. The CD was getting older and had some nicks and scratches on it. With Alcohol 10% I was able to create an image of it which ignored the read errors, and then burn a new CD for it. This made it so the game I bought will still work for a long time!

Alcohol is good doing images from cd's with scratches or not working properly. You can use it along with Daemon Tools to create virtual drivers and have the image loaded.

Daemon Tools is basically the exact same... A120% allows you to create multiple virtual drives and load images to them as if they were actual cd drives. This drive imaging is usefull in combination with Virtual PC, it allows me to run Knoppix live cd, without restarting my computer

So basicly Alcohol has virtual images capabilities plus the possibility to make one? If that's the case, then it's great. Wonder why I never tried it.

It really is a great program, plus i believe there is a shareware or freeware version of it if you look hard enough! I don't personally use the image creation part of A120%, i've had good success with small file size in Adaptec Easy CD, so i've stuck with that. A120% can mount nearly all image types including: bin/cue, iso, img, etc.
