Default Windows media player

My computer is a Win XP professional and I have Microsioft player 10 on it. This was working very well and then suddenly now I cannot play any audio. The Video comes out well but no audio. If I insert a sound music disc the cursor goes from title one to the end of the disc fast but does not actually pay any music.

Hi Compsys,

Welcome to SysChat.

If you can't hear sound in the Windows Media Player, the Player may be having a problem with your sound device.

Follow the steps below:
1. Reinstall your sound card drivers. You may download the latest version from the maker of your sound card.
2. Reinstall DirectX. You can download it from here.
3. Restart your computer

If problem persists check out Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
Windows Media Player Cannot Play Back the Audio Stream

Hey. I would suggest that you reinstall your Media Player and update it with the latest security updates.

hey chocolatee. U can always search for it in Start->Search or in windows media player, u can search for it also. If u can't find it in either way, then i would say it has been deleted.
