This might be really stupid.. But how do you find that stuff out? This comp isn't mine, it is my Dads. But I have no idea where you even find that information.

I know you can find out some of the information from "System" in the Control Panel, but the rest - well, I leave it up to memory

The laptop I'm currently using is 1.8 ghz P4, 50 gig HDD, 1 gig of RAM, Intel extreme 64 mb graphics card with an inbuilt DVD/CD RW combo

You should be able to find it out from right clicking "My Computer" and clicking it on properties, and then you will see some of the info u need. Then for the rest, i guess u will have to go to Device Manager, whic is also in one of the tabs in the system properties.

If your computer is a pre-built machine, such as a Dell or HP, it will have a model number on the front of it somewhere. You can then look it up on the company website and it will show you what it came with in the store.

My rig is in need of replacement or upgrades, but it's still working for the moment:
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
512mb DDR ram
50GB HD
ATI Radeon 7200 64mb w/tv out
cdrw/dvd rom combo drive
52x cd drive
Sound Blaster Live XGamer 5.1

that's about all I can think of that's interesting...

Four hundred GB of storage? What the heck do you do with it? If I factor in all my flash drives and mp3 players, I only have 36 GB. Thirty-six. My Inspiron 1200 is 30GB and I have often thought that I could do with more - like 60. But four hundred? How do you even GET 400?
