Sami downloaded and did it but it gave an error message and then quit. It told me to read the error message from my windows folder. I have put the file below. Now how do i make my video card work?

s3setup.log - 0.00MB

Then, I guess those are not the right drivers or the video card may be different.

Best option now is to open your PC and manually look inside it, to find out what kind of video card you have.

Best case scenario is to turn your PC off before opening, but... i don't always, lol (do that at your own risk)
there will be a cable from your monitor to the back of your case, the card attatched to that is your video card, it will likely have a fan (but not guarenteed based on the speed of it)
Th card will be perpendicular to your motherboard and based on the lack of extras you have stressed elsewhere, it will likely be the only card of this type.
Plus it should say Savage or Pro Savage somewhere on it, you are looking for a model number, it may also include letters, so be careful when recording it Once you have that, getting the specific drivers should be easy, if you need more help feel free to post again if you cannot find the drivers or if they still will not install there are a few tricks that can be implemented to force drivers to be used (incase you have onboard video as well)

To get the information of your video card you can use the windows dump
open a command (DOS) prompt and type debug
then when the - appears type: D C000:0040
this will display the dump and to the right some legable info should be available, also type: D C000:0090 for further dump info on your video card.

In windows 98/95 the first dump is: D C000:0010
(this one i already knew, took me some trial and error to find it in XP)

From this method (over msn) i was able to get the following from chatmod1's computer:
C000:0040 33 53 02 91 00 00 00 00-4D 01 01 4E 56 49 44 49 3S......M..NVIDI
C000:0050 41 20 47 45 46 4F 52 43-45 32 20 4D 58 34 30 30 A GEFORCE2 MX400
C000:0060 20 56 47 41 20 42 49 4F-53 20 20 56 45 52 53 49 VGA BIOS VERSI
C000:0070 4F 4E 20 33 2E 31 31 2E-30 30 2E 37 36 2E 31 32 ON 3.11.00.76.12
C000:0080 0D 0A 43 4F 50 59 52 49-47 48 54 28 43 29 20 32 ..COPYRIGHT(C) 2
C000:0090 30 30 32 20 4E 56 49 44-49 41 20 43 4F 52 50 2E 002 NVIDIA CORP.
C000:00A0 20 20 5B 36 34 2E 30 20-4D 42 20 52 41 4D 5D 0D [64.0 MB RAM].
C000:00B0 0A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00-00 00 00 30 32 2F 32 35 ...........02/25

meaning your card is a gForce 2 MX400, 64MB video card and XP drivers are available from The nVidia Website

Sorry for the confussion... i kinda just assumed that nVidia drivers would work for their own products, lol.
here is a link for a driver which names your card specifically
MSI nVidia-based Graphics Drivers (Windows 2000/XP) 31.0

William i tried that also. I wrote to u what happened in msn, and after i finsihed in device manager, it said "The hardware was not installed because the wizard cannot find the necessary software." So, William, is it possible o get a new one to try, or to tell me exactly wat graphics card i am having, cause one said savage, and the comp says it is nvidia, so that's why i am askiing.

Ok, This has got to be the longest i've ever helped someone with such a "seemingly" easy task, lol.
Do me a favor and post an image or list the items in your hardware profile under display adapeters

*right click my computer, select the hardware tab and press device manager

Include all text including anything that says - secondary
Also if you know your motherboard make and model, that could be useful as well, as it seems as though there may be an onboard video issue.
