I have heard a lot about Software as a service projects. Is there any open source project which offers this Saas. I searched in the net and found from many forums and blogs preferring about on open source named paragent. Could you please provide me some details about.

Basically the Saas vendors use applications from open source projects and then select certain models and offer them for use to the business community as supported programs meaning that the applications are for anyone to use but you have to pay for the IT support.

Paragent uses a model of backoffice programs and certifies it with IT support.

Nsite( most notorious) is another one in which Macy's department Stores uses.

SourceFire is into the security threat internet issues and certifies Clam AV another open source project

I went through the open source which you had mentioned. Paragent fits well for Saas and the best thing about it is it offers good remote desktop management system.Anyways thanks for letting me know about paragent.

Choosing a good Saas is very much important and a defect in that might reflect in your firm reputation . Paragent which you had suggested is better. I googled that and read many comments about it. Anyways here more comments before choosing.
