Default Stop Nw Link2 Px Protocol Driver

I Reloaded Windows, Firefox, Works, Word Sygate. Sygate Tells Me Intermittently And Often That Nwlink2 Px Protocol Driver Is Trying To Access The Internet.

William Wilson Replied To My Last Post, In Essence Saying Why Allow Anything At All To Access Inernet By Itself, And Thinking About This, I Agree, I Dont Want Any Program Accessing The Internet Except When I Ask, (hotmail Firefox Mssgr Etc)

So I Would Like To Understand Why When I Load A Clean Copy Of Windows Xp Sp2, And In Desparation Switch Off Auto Update, Why Nwlink2 Keeps Trying To Access Internet..... Its My Account....what Gives Someone The Right To Use My Account When They Like.....

I Would Like To..
1. Understand Exactly What And Why This Nwlink Is,
2. Get Rid Of It If Possible (as Opposed To Blocking It)

Hi,

NWLink IPX protocol is a Novell networking protocol that is unfortunately installed when you install Windows even though you don't need it. As long as you have TCP/IP installed and do not need to connect to any old
Netware networks, you should uninstall these protocols. Also, check your
settings and make sure you are running Client for Microsoft Networks and not
Client for Netware.
