The default share memory size in the bios is 8mb but there is an option to adjust it from 1mb, 4mb, 8mb, 16mb, and 32mb. Is it okay or possible to select the highest memory size (32mb) to improve and better system performance or stay at default size?

motherboard: ECS 865GV-M3 v5.0A with on-board vga
processor: celeron d 2.13GHz, 533MHZ
memory 1024mb ddr333

theoretically a larger shared memory segment would allow more dlls to be shared between apps, but it is rare that this ever even comes into play as it is easier for an OS to create copies than to share the memory. My suggestion would be to leave it alone, unless you have a specific reason for increasing it.

i cant disable on-board vga... i have an agp video card ati 9600xt and i cant make it work do you have any experience with this? thank you

no option in the bios to disable it? Sometimes it automatically disable the onboard video upon inserting the agp card. Lower the share memory to the lowest setting. If none of them works, try to uninstall the onboard video driver in the add/remove program and then right click the onboard video and disable it under Device Manager. Turn it off then insert your new card and put the monitor on it and start... Good luck

is there a jumper somewhere that disables onboard vga on this board?

Usually if you cant disable onboard hardware in bios then there will be a jumper somewhere on your board to allow you to disable things. Do you have the manual which came with your board? If not I'd look on the makers website for a pdf manual.
