Default Parity Circuit Failure


I get 3 beeps fowoled by 3 beeeps fowloed by 1 beep when I turn on my notekook I have a Sony viola pcgfrv31 frim what I nhave gartheredfrom the sony website this a Parity Circuit Failure what dose that mean and how do I fix it

This usually means that you have a memory failure and that one of the memory modules has gone bad.
It can also mean that there is an issue with the motherboard as well.

Google for memtest86 and download it and install it to either a floppy or a boot disc and let it run on your computer for quite a while...any errors means the memory has to be replaced.

the system well not even boot I get the eroor as soon as I turn on the laptop what can I do about it?

have someone download the program and either install it to a floppy diskette if that is what you have or install it to make a bootable CD if that is what you need. If you have neither then you can try to replace the installed memory with a different module.
