Default need help removing localhost:0 / proxy.pac...


hello;

i can't find an answer for how to remove http : // localhost:0 / proxy.pac from the automatic configuration script address (and from messing up my ie browser/surfing), it appears that even though i uninstalled google web accelerator, i am still being routed through their proxy? how the heck do i fix/remove this crap?

if you go to your internet explorer then you can go tools> internet options> connections tab>lan settings> then untick that box nd select automatically

what site did you want to use for your homepage?

copy the URL then go to control panel > internet options >general tab and you will see the address of your current home page highlighted in the box...delete the highlighted one and paste in the one you wish to use and select apply and ok.

If you followed the advice from mike123 then it will load faster if you go back and recheck the auto selection!
