For some reason or the other, my CD writer gets jammed, and it can't be ejected or something like that. Can any body help me fix it?

Is it when you press the button on the drive itself? Have you tried ejecting it though software such as in my computer? Are any programs running that may be trying to access the drive? Does your drive have a little hole under the tray to do a manual eject?

You can do software eject through My Computer -> right click on "CD ROM" and select Eject.

If that does not work your cd might have some hardware problems, like power connector or controller cable may not be properly connected.

In almost all CD/DVD drives, there is a small hole, which can be used to eject the drive manually. Try that, then try fixing it the way Sami has suggested.

I've seen this problem a few times before where it's actually caused by software, not power or hardware... Always try restarting when having any computer problems... If your drive seems to have power and should be in working order, I would suggest doing a clean boot in case some software program is hanging it up.
