Disk Installing Windows XP from floppy disks set

Hi.As you can see I am new here.I was reading lots of the posts and they are very good. Now I would like to ask if any one did the install Windows XP from the floppy disk set because I have to do it as I am having problems with my laptop. The only thing that I am worried about is the bit where it's mentioned that you will have to use the cd at the end to complete the installation(my cd-rom it doesn't work anymore and this is why I want to try the floppy disk installation).
Would be very appreciated if someone could give an answer.
Thanks.

You cannot install Win XP without a cdr drive.

Replace the defective one as you will just waste your time and mine trying to install it otherwise.
